Paige Beckwith, MA, ATR-BC, LPC
Hey there! I’m Paige, the owner and therapist behind New Page Art Therapy and Counseling. I’m a registered and board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC) and licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.
My experience ranges from working in community mental health settings, including in-home mobile therapy and acute partial hospitalization programs (PHP), to group private practice, where I’ve provided both group and individual counseling to adults with various mental health diagnoses. In addition to using art therapy and creative self-expression with my clients, I also draw upon evidenced-based approaches including, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in building effective coping skills they can take with them outside of the therapy room and challenge unhelpful or self-limiting beliefs.
I strive to create both a warm, empathic, and nonjudgmental space for clients to feel comfortable being their most vulnerable selves, while also offering gentle and supportive challenges to assist clients in working towards their goals. You won’t find me just sitting silently and nodding during the therapy session - I believe in the benefits of a strong therapeutic rapport, and utilize an active, engaging, and conversational approach with my clients. I will often bring humor and meme-sharing into my sessions as well.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time in my garden, hunting at antique stores for treasures for my home, exploring new restaurants in the city, and relaxing at home with my standard poodle, Bowie, and cat, Phoebe.
